LAURA'S PRIORITIES

PUBLIC SAFETY

The no-bail portion of the Safe-T-Act adds to the risk of crime. Laura's top priorities are community safety and quality of life. She supports local government cooperation with ICE and programs which build trust between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

The culture war spurred unconstitutional restrictions on speech in public places including streets and public parks. Laura successfully challenged mandatory "Free Speech Zones" in Downers Grove parks. In 2025 the Park District removed the Zones and revised its ordinance.

TRADITIONAL FAMILY VALUES (END WOKE POLICIES)

Laura supports pro-freedom, traditional American family values and all efforts to end WOKE policies. She opposes progressive ideologies that have infiltrated District 81 public institutions.

EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

Laura will fight to restore academic excellence and merit-based education in schools. Parents' can opt-out of sex education and mental health screenings, take action to protect their child.

To equip students with skills that jobs require, the focus must be on high quality instruction, not on radical left political activism, D.E.I., social emotional learning (S.E.L.) and gender influencing.

LOWER TAXES

Illinois has the nation's highest overall tax burden, with taxes and fees continuing to increase. Laura will advocate for taxpaying residents and business owners, oppose reckless spending on government services we don't want or need, and find ways to bring down the cost of living.

As a former elected official and lawyer, Laura will evaluate existing budgets and proposed spending to ensure responsible financial management and high-quality services for residents.
