I’m Laura Hois, Republican candidate for Illinois State Representative in House District 81. I’m running to be your voice, respect your priorities and improve the quality of your life.
For over 20 years, one-party Democrat rule has driven Illinois into crisis: our streets are less safe, our schools are failing, and our taxes have skyrocketed. Families are struggling and laws are passed faster than we can say “no” to higher taxes and more state control. While hardworking residents pay more, lawmakers push bad policies and “free everything”
for illegal immigrants, weakening our police, and eroding our freedoms. Enough is enough.
It is time for fresh, common-sense Republican leadership that puts Illinois families first. I will prioritize public safety, student proficiency in reading and math, and lower taxes. I will vote to rein in reckless spending, restore fiscal sanity and deliver smarter, smaller government.
I’m a proud product of this community - Naperville Central graduate, University of Illinois alum, DePaul law school educated, award-winning lawyer and conservative advocate. I have walked the neighborhoods of D-81, knocked on doors, and listened to your concerns.
As a former corporate attorney, elected Downers Grove Township Clerk, and “Mama Bear” who’s raised a family here, I know the importance of being accountable to the community and a servant leader.
My opponent advances policies that have diminished parental rights and received widespread ridicule: D.E.I. (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) in schools, transgender influencing, pornography in libraries, job killing business regulations, government services we don’t want or need, and boys in girl’s sports.
I’m the opposite. Since 2021, I’ve led the battle for Downers Grove residents against WOKE mandates, lockdowns and critical race theory. My record shows I will stand up for parents, students, excellence in education, freedom of speech, equal treatment under the law, the truth – and common sense.
I believe in fair elections, term limits, and putting law enforcement back in charge of keeping our communities safe. To stem out-migration, raising a family in Illinois must be affordable again.
This November 3, 2026 you have a clear choice: more of the same failed policies, or seeking positive action with a fighter who will bring real change and common-sense leadership to District 81.
